Ginger Sparkles

 

Ingredients:

 

1 cup margarine
½ cup shortening
2 cups sugar
½ cup molasses
2 eggs
½ tsp salt

4 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions: 

Cream margarine, shortening and sugar together.
Add molasses til well combined.
Beat in one egg at a time.
Add spices and salt.
Sift together flour and soda.
Add to creamed mixture. Stir until dough forms a ball.
Roll into balls, size dependant on size of cookie wanted.
Roll ball into white sugar and place on parchment paper 1 1/2 inches apart

Bake at 350 degrees F for 13-15 minutes depending on size.
Let cool on pan.
Makes a large batch.
